Use OSMC with Parsec on Raspberry Pi Model B+

Hello all,

I’m trying to set up Parsec with my OSMC install on my Raspberry Pi Model B+. I know that there is a plugin on Github but it appears it is no longer compatible/functional(?). I already am using the Steam Link along with the Steam Launcher which works fine but the streaming quality only goes up to 1080p and since I have recently purchased a 4K tv and a 5700XT Red Devil, I really want everything to work at the best settings.

Does anyone know if there is a way to use Parsec within OSMC (since that’s my main media center) or any alternatives that can stream 1440p at minimum?

A Pi 0/1/2/3 isn’t going to decode >1080p anyway

Would an RPi 4 Model B work for this? If so, what would be the solution?

I don’t know. It’s probably best to contact them and see if this is supported.

In the github page you linked to it says…

If and when Parsec becomes available for the Pi 4, I’ll be able to resume development on this plugin, but for the time being this is defunct.
