Vero 4k+ blank after update

I’ve got my unit since January and it was working almost fine till now.

It is connected to Onkyo TX-NR656 ampli and before doing update update I had to hard restart Vero (by pulling of power plug) every time I wanted to use it making sure that I set the correct source in ampli before. After watching a movie when I changed the source to something else and went back I had just blank screen - but the device was working, I was able to ssh to it so I just ignored the issue.

Now after the update nothing helps. I set the correct source in amplituner, plug the power to Vero, I can see it is starting, showing Linux boot things and then blue screen with OSMC logo in the middle. After that it goes blank.

Please advice something as now I cannot watch any movie at all.

As a test run:

systemctl stop mediacenter
mv ~/.kodi/userdata/guisettings.xml ~/.kodi/userdata/guisettings.backup.xml
systemctl start mediacenter

It is not advisable to run the GUI at 4K

Enable adjust refresh rate and we’ll switch to 4K when you play 4K content.

Sam’s right, but to avoid further surprises check that your TV can display 4k60Hz by setting that resolution just as a test. If it can’t, try better HDMI cables.
