Vero 4K colors issue

Hello everybody,

I just receive my new Vero 4k and I’m very happy about the product, but often video colors on TV are completely wrong:

Have you tried adjust the colour, brightness and contrast settings on the screen its self?

Hi Tom,

usually colors are fine, both on kodi interface and watching movies. Then suddenly TV screen change colors as I posted before, so I don’t think is a problem of screen settings.

I have an Apple TV 1st gen with osmc software plugged on the same TV with no color issues at all.

Any other clues?

  • Try another HDMI cable
  • Make sure Vero 4K is plugged in to the same port on the TV that the AppleTV was.

You have an old Phillips TV, and they are known to accidentally report support for the wrong colours. When the colours go funny, does running:

echo 1 > /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/output_rgb

help? If you can confirm this, it’s an easy fix.

I found in another thread how to persist that command on /etc/rc.local.
