Vero 4K crashes when pausing, forwarding or rewinding

Hi all,

My Vero 4K crashes when I pause video content, or when I try to skip forward or backwards. At first I thought it was only with 4K content but today it also happened with 1080p content. I get the blue screen with the sad smiley and the device reboots.

I can’t really pinpoint when it first started or if something changed that caused this to happen.

Does this always happen with files which have a TrueHD track?

Sam

Hi Sam,

I checked the codec info on the files, and it seems that they indeed all have TrueHD tracks .

This is a known issue with Kodi unfortunately. It’s still being worked on.

@sam_nazarko do you know if there is anywhere that the progress of this can be checked as I have noted that it’s all my 4k files but only when the TRUEHD 7.1 audio track is selected?

If I select AC3 5.1 I can skip back and forth just fine which is a plus for now I guess

EDIT: just spotted this and think it’s the same issue? Kodi 18.4 crashes with high bitrate TrueHD+Atmos audio stream · Issue #16704 · xbmc/xbmc · GitHub

That is indeed the issue

Hi, i think im experience this issue.
Vero4k
Kodi (19.3). Platform: Linux ARM 32-bit
Kodi x32 build (version for Vero)
Kodi compiled 2021-12-20 by GCC 8.3.0 for Linux ARM 32-bit version 4.19.152 (267160)

https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/20339 - I tried to follow the breadcrumbs but unable to determine if this PR is in the build (latest?) im running

These fixes are already included in the latest version of OSMC.
