There are two ports:
- The one nearest the Ethernet port is a CVBS port, which can do 480/576 video output with two analogue channels.
- The second 3.5mm port is for the included IR extender, if you would like to use a universal remote, such as a Logitech Harmony and place the receiver behind the TV or in an AV cabinet. This isn’t necessary if you are not putting the device out of line of sight, or if you’re using the included RF based remote
The SPDIF is TOSLINK, not RCA.
The SoC is designed as a dual output sink (quite handy when using Spotify Connect etc), so the easiest way would be to mute the TV. Most people do this if all audio is going to the AVR anyway.
