I’m having issues with kodi 20.5 - efforts to get around this using info on the forums hasn’t worked
I have to keep pulling out Vero HDMI cable and Vero power lead for 30 mins to get osmc GUI to appear on TV again. Issues recur every few days. (Lindy HDMI CEC Less adaptor soltn. has not worked)
However I’m having trouble with reinstalling earlier Mar 2022 version which doesn’t have these problems.
I’m on a Mac (high sierra) - are any of the following steps wrong?
Have you tried the OSMC installer tool found in the download section from the menu on the top of this site? One of the screens gives an option to select an image that was manually downloaded. If that doesn’t work try another thumb drive. Some thumb drives do better booting than others.
Use the OSMC installer as suggested by @darwindesign.
Have you reported the HDMI issue? I’d suggest you use the latest version of OSMC. We should be able to work out what the issue is with some logs, but for now I’d also recommend enabling HPD Lock under Settings → Display and seeing if that helps.
Tried OSMC installer but after a minute mesage comes up sayin ‘error’
I have osmc_installer_log but dont know where to post it/send it
Tried several usb sticks.
No joy with HPD Lock
Raised HDMI issue as below

My setup: LGOLED55E8PLA ARC socket (marked HDMI 2) goes to a Marantz NR1711 HDMI (marked ARC) socket. My Vero4K+ also goes into a Marantz HDMI socket (marked Media Player). I then link my external 2.5in HDD to Vero via USB. I only ever use Vero in library mode - I prefer to make my own artwork. This has all worked well for months. As per many other threads I started having regular CEC/ARC lockout issues of late when trying to use TV remote to switch between TV and Vero. Rebooting or pulling out the Vero HDMI cable fixes this temporariiy. I cant work out what optimum Vero peripherals settings might be for this issue. But … I want to see if using “Lindy HDMI CEC Less Adapter, Female to Male” helps. Elderly and confused question: where do I slot the Lindy? Do I put it into the Vero or into the TV? Can I then use standard HDMI cables to run from the adaptor? Have others had success with Lindy? Love using my Vero 4K+ and want to get this sorted.
Before uploading any logs, you should ensure that Debugging is enabled in Kodi.
This can be done by going to Settings → System → Logging → and selecting Enable Debugging.
You should then perform a reboot of your device twice and perform only the minimum actions required to replicate this issue so that it is easy to identify the cause of the problem.
