Not yet in panic mode as I have other renderers but on returning to Vero 4K after a week or so and updating I find that I can no longer see any “play” option anywhere.
Using remote and on the captioned sites I can browse and select items but nothing plays. Everything had been fine last time I used the device and I have not changed anything on my system other than the running update.
Any clues?
Does this only happens when playing contents via addons or also when you play videos from your library?

Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:
enable debug logging at settings->system->logging
reboot the OSMC device twice(!)
reproduce the issue
upload the log set (all configs and logs!) either using the Log Uploader method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh method invoking command grab-logs -A

Many thanks for the reply. I did some research and found that there is a setting which had switched a setting during an update and this had changed the default setting for videos. Strange but easily sorted once found.
