Vero 4k on Oct 2022 version cannot update

I clearly have not updated my Vero 4k in a while. When I try to update it now through My OSMC, it goes through the searching for updates process, but at the end I’m not prompted to update anything. What are my options for updating at this point?

Version: 2022.10-1

You can install the latest version from Download - OSMC.

I had a feeling you were going to suggest that

One more question… what version of debian is the March 2025 OSMC release running on?

I should clarify that question… what version of debian if I do a fresh image install. IIRC if I just go the upgrade path, it won’t upgrade the debian distribution?

If you upgrade then Debian is also upgraded.

You could try update via the command line, but without some logs it is hard to tell why your system is not upgrading.

Last supported Debian version for Vero 4K / 4K + is Bullseye.

Ok thank you, Bullseye is what I was after. So no matter what, not getting past Debian 11.

What version of Debian does the Vero V run on? The reason I’m asking is because the Vero is a powerful platform and I run some other software on it. It’s getting really really difficult to get current versions of packages on Bullseye (openssl, QT6). If the V is running something current it could be worth it to me to upgrade just for that.

Bullseye for now, Trixie very soon.

I am starting the migration work next week.
