I’ve been having some problems with my Vero, so I went to turn on the log. I rebooted twice, but now the logging function come back on every time. If I manually turn it off, and then reboot (twice) it still comes back running a log.
I’ve turned off the log and rebooted a dozen times. Unplugged it from the wall. No dice no matter what. It’s been acting flaky–that’s why I was attempting to create a log. I had thought that perhaps the problem was with PlexKodiConnect, but now I suspect that something on the Vero has been corrupted.
Hi Sam, thx for the quick reply. I turned the log off, used exit rather than reboot, and it still comes back running a log. I tried ‘Power off system’, and then had to unplug it and plug it back in, and the log was back again.
Yes, I was seeing the log info in the top left corner. Except, this morning, I just now rebooted it twice, and the probllem of the constant log has gone away. Go figure. What has not gone away is the problem with Plex. I just now uploaded a log using the My OSMC log uploader. How do I find the URL for that to share it here?
Using the My OSMC Log Uploader, it shows ‘Upload selected logs now,’ and the only option is below, where ‘All logs and configs’ is turned on. I press OK, then it returns to the My OSMC screen. I’ve done it twice now. No URL is displayed. What am I doing wrong?
I rebooted twice, started a new log, recreated the problem with Plex by attempting to play a film, stopped the log, went into My OSMC, and used the log uploader as I described previously. I didn’t see any URL. Thx again.
Yes, I do, but I would need to re-install putty and be told every single command as if I were a five year old. I don’t speak Linux, sadly. I wish I did.
If you can give me all the commands, I might find time over the weekend to try it.
As a start point it would be grab-logs - A (corrected: grab-logs -A)
That would be the command that creates the logs and might already give a hint why it fails.
And df - h (corrected: df -h) would tell us about the space on the drive.
for both commands best to post the output here.

I use PlexKodiConnect, which has always been good. Recently, however, it stopped adding new movies to the library. I went into the configuration for the add-on, and likely messed it up further. I’ve been communicating with croneter, the dev of PKC, but then the Vero started acting strangely as well, such as the issue when it wouldn’t get out of log mode for an entire day. So then I turned my attention to the Vero, and tried to get a log to post, and that’s when I started this topic, as it wouldn’t let me create a log, and didn’t seem to be uploading it.
Another odd thing is that PKC has newer versions than what I have installed (3.8.1), but it doesn’t show any new version when I try to update it.
The frustrating bit is that I never know exactly where the trouble is. Is it PKC, or the Vero? I don’t know, all I want to do is watch a movie with proper sound again. I have an Apple TV and Infuse, but they can’t seem to sort out HD sound. That’s why I bought the Vero–all I use it for is Plex, and when everything works, I love it.
Logs show many of these: error <general>: CCurlFile::Stat - <http://192.168.0.173:32400/library/parts/63153/1681427620/> Failed: HTTP response code said error(22)
Yes, the Plex server is fine, even for remote watching. My daughter watches it with her Apple TV, and it works fine for me on the Apple TV, it’s just that those clients aren’t near as nice.
I’m fairly sure that I was trying to do the update from “My Addons.” I hit My Addons, scroll down to video addons, choose PKC, and then I can get into the configuration menu for it. Is there another way?
That is the right way, does it say no update available? Is the source correctly configured? Also sif I recall correctly since Kodi v21 you need to allow updates from 3rd party repositories.
