I’ve been having a lot of issues with one of my Vero 4k+'s.
It’s RF/remote seems to fail quite often, the only button it seems to recognise is the backup, but that’s not the real issue.
I was comparing the two devices i have and noticed the troublesome one is on v 2020.11.1, now I am pretty sure I’ve updated this numerous times over the past few years , is there any way for the Vero to return to an original image? I don;t think so but asking just in case!
However when I use the manual upgrade option, it shows an update window for a few seconds, then a very quick message about connectivity issues, then returns to the MANUAL UPDATE menu.
The device is networked fine, can access numerous NAS’s and other shares.
Should I just back it up to USB and install from a fresh OSMC image?
It’s just freaked me out thinking i must have upgraded it at some point in the past 4 year, the other device is on the latest 2024 image.
UPDATE : Flashed the “faulty” unit with a fresh OSMC install, and installed a backup of the config of the “working” Vero4K+.
All OK apart from the remote is still acting up, worked out only the backup and stop buttons are doing anything. Have a usb keyboard attached so i can navigate the menus and this seems to be ok.
Checked the osmc remote keymap settings and they are identical between the two units.
I have a feeling a new remote may be on the horizon.
or…upgrade to Vero 5, and redeploy working 4k+ to replace the troublesome one.
Make sure you are using the correct receiver and haven’t mixed them up if you have multiple devices.

Have ordered a new remote/dongle to see if that sorts things out, fingers crossed it will arrive before Xmas
I obviously won’t ship until Monday but do double check. The older remotes had the same dongle appearance and there was not a visible distinction between them. It’s easy to mix things up.
I used to do it all the time during testing.
Otherwise we can definitely get you a new remote before the Christmas viewing party
