Vero as UPNP media server

I would like to use my Vero 1 as a media server with an old external drive.
Is there Upnp software that is compatible with Vero/OSMC and if so, how is it installed? Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but I couldn’t find any references (apart from Raspberry Pi). Thanks.

Kodi can behave as a UPNP server and stream to other instances of Kodi. You can learn more about this on the Kodi Wiki: http://kodi.wiki/view/UPnP/Server.

Have you tried enabling the built in upnp server in the kodi settings? Did this not work? If it didn’t work, please supply a full set of debug logs.
