Vero rebooting

I seem to have the same problem. Powered up my 4k after been off for a few months. It took a long time to boot, lot of cyclic reboots which I was assuming were updates/patches. Red light was on initially for a good while but it powered up ok in the end. Seemed stable as I was able to change the Network configuration from Wired to Wireless.
After being on for a while it started to reboot constantly, my remote is not working(related issue?) so I was using Yatse to interact with it. Anytime i pressed a button the Yatse remote it would go for another reboot.
I powered down just now and it’s not booting at all, red light is on and I can hear the device from across the room - sounds like a cross between a mouse and an old dial up modem :slightly_frowning_face:
I haven’t been able to get any logs, I could ftp at one stage but not now - any advice?? :crossed_fingers:

Is that sound coming from the power supply or the Vero itself? Have you tried another power supply with the same specs or a USB A to A cable without anything else plugged in to see what happens?

Sound is from Vero itself. Didn’t try another PS. Is there more info on connecting with USB?
It wouldn’t boot last night, started up after maybe 20 mins of trying today, red light was on and eventually went blue.

I’ve disabled the mediacenter for now and working in command line. Is there a system health check I can do via command line?

Possibly a bad cap

You could try the other side of the port and power via a USB-A cable.

There’s not much you can check from a software side given that you are describing physical (hardware) issues.
