Vero V + Dolby Vision (DV) oversaturated red colors

Hey,
I’m not sure if this is truly a Vero V issue, but perhaps someone here can shed some light on it.
I recently switched to a new projector (Valerion Vision Master Pro 2) that supports Dolby Vision. After watching several shows and movies in DV format, I’ve noticed strong oversaturation in darker scenes—especially reddish tones, like faces lit by candlelight. In brighter scenes, however, all colors appear natural and well-balanced.

At this point, I’m unsure whether the issue lies with my Vero device or the projector itself. Unfortunately, I don’t have any other DV-capable playback device or display to cross-check and isolate the cause.

Has anyone here had experience with Dolby Vision playback on the Vero V? Can you reproduce this issue, or do you get clean, accurate colors on your screens especially in dark scenes?

The Vero V is running version 2025.03-1.

Some sample mediainfo:
Format/Info : High Efficiency Video Coding

Hi

Is there a sample file you could give us so we could look at reproducing the problem?

Cheers

Sam

I don’t play DV content on my Vero V, but I had the same problem with oversaturated reds using an Apple TV 4K and a Philips Screeneo U5 UST projector. It happened mostly on one show, Yellowjackets, and it was unwatchable. Strangely enough, other DV content looked fine, and if I watched Yellowjackets on another system with an Apple TV 4K and a DV-capable TV, it looked fine.
