Hi, I’ve got a Vero V (running the latest updates) and I’m having an issue with 3D MVC movies played from my NAS. The NAS is connected via cable.
Quite often, when skipping forward or back, the picture freezes and the Vero crashes. The image hangs, the audio loops the last half-second indefinitely, and the Vero becomes completely unresponsive. It doesn’t reboot on its own either; the only way to fix it is to pull the power lead. This ONLY happens during seeking, not during normal playback, and ONLY with 3D MVC films (ripped as MKV from the original 3D Blu-rays). It happens always at different points, not at the same seeking points. So far, it’s occurred about 10 times across 8 different movies.
To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information from you. The best way to get this information is for you to upload logs that demonstrate your problem. You can learn more about how to submit a useful support request here.
Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:
enable debug logging at settings->system->logging
reboot the OSMC device twice(!)
reproduce the issue
upload the log set (all configs and logs!) either using the Log Uploader method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh method invoking command grab-logs -A
publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here
Thanks for your understanding. We hope that we can help you get up and running again shortly.
Hi, I’ve really tried to send the log data, but I failed. Via MyOSMC, the upload always gets stuck at 95%, and via Putty, it hangs at ‘Masking private information’.
You mean, reboot twice also AFTER reproducing the issue?
For testing, i deactivated the logging, reproduced the issue und uploaded the logs, wich works. Maybe that helps. But i will also try what you said. The movie was Titanic 3D
