Today a fourth Vero V has arrived to replace the last Vero 4K I am using. I really like the osmc platform. So I do have some experience, but despite can’t solve an issue with a Vero V which has been delivered in January,
I have been using this problematic Vero V for about two weeks now, but at this moment it doesn’t produce any HDMI signal or working network connection. So, it is useless at this moment unfortunately.
I have tried to reinstall from scratch with a new image, but this doesn’t work. It doesn’t respond and no HDMI output. Tried SSH, but no working network connection. Etc. etc. So nothing I can do?
Before this issue this specific Vero V gave me some other issues also. While using the interface it happened twice the unit gave white/gray noise on the TV instantly. After removing the power and connecting it again the issue was solved. This happened twice. Last evening when turning on the TV I got the message “no signal”. Removed power from the Vero V to restart….but still no signal. Tried reinstalling, SSH, nothing works so it looks like the Vero V has “died”?
I do find it on my network after some searching, but with a strange IP address (169.254.35.114) out of the normal range I use. I can ping this IP address, but SSH isn’t possible unfortunately.
Connected the Vero V which arrived today instead of replacing my last Vero 4K. This Vero V works instantly with the same HDMI, power and network cable. So they aren’t the problem.
Any idea what is going on? Can this be solved or is a replacement needed?
When you see an IP address of 169.254.x.x it means that it didn’t find a DHCP server so it assigned its own IP address.
Given that you have ruled out a PSU issue and already tried a full reinstall I’d suggest that you have done as much as you can and should email support@osmc.tv and give them your order number and a link to this thread.
I will do so. Thank you for the prompt reply!

Hi Sam,
Not sure what is going wrong, but I don’t get any response on my emails since last Friday. Can you please check? I have done the additional tests you requested, but nothing works unfortunately, So can you please provide me with a solution?
At this moment the Vero V is broken in the box for a week already after two weeks of usage. This is my eight OSMC device and I really like the OSMC platform, so I hope a solution is on the horizon soon.
Regards, Olaf.
I am up to date on emails from Monday. Please re-send. But I will have a few days of backlog which I will be up to date on by Saturday evening latest.
The 4K/4K+ deprecation caused a lot of orders and queries about the new flagship. As I am also travelling this caused some delays.
Will pick it up shortly

I am up to date on all emails and sent you a reply earlier. I think you posted this after.
Will await your response by email. If you haven’t received anything do let me know here.
Cheers

Hi Sam,
Yes you are correct I saw your email yesterday evening after my post, so missed your mail earlier. I tried to remove the post on the forum because of this, but this didn’t work apparently. Sorry for this. I am trying to make the restore working, but no success so far unfortunately. Will keep you posted by email.
