Vero V now selectable in Unifi Network Controller

Today I was installing a new Vero V and noticed that while the Unifi Network Controller does not autodetect that the Vero V is one, it is now a selectable type via “Change Icon”.

Woo hoo! I just updated mine. One less generic or wrong icon to look at. '-)

That’s cool!

I’m on an outdated controller version here. Does it show up when you select Change Icon or did you have to manually upload it?

Not sure who uploaded it. I remember discussing it with @darwindesign some time ago.

Unfortunately you’ll probably only see our branded MAC address for wired connections. We don’t directly produce a WiFi module at this time, so the MAC for that will show another vendor.

You click on the name/icon and it pops up the options to identify your device. If you search for Vero or OSMC it gives one option which is the Vero V one shown in the OP.

Wasn’t me. I’d forgotten all about it.

I am all wired so I don’t think they have added, successfully at least, whatever is needed for their fingerprinting to work.

Like @pkscout I am just happy to have “everything in order”
