Vero V Problems with HDR10+ content

I don’t know about UI sounds, but I have a projector I can test HDR10 vs HDR10+ issue with.

You already had the time to experiment with that HDR10/+ issue?

Regarding UI sounds: doesnt seem to be a plugin, at least disabling them doesnt solve it :slight_smile: After every reboot I need to start TV, then once I close the TV stream, UI sounds are back. Doesnt help to start a movie, allthough the sound of it is played back normally, once movie was stopped, UI sounds are gine again :laughing:

Can you send me a video sample that we can both check? I’d rather do this than test other HDR10+ content to rule out a content issue

Sorry, I’ve misunderstood the issue. If I understand correctly: you experience freezes with HDR10+ content.

I was going to test that adjusting the HDR setting allows you to fall back to just HDR10 but as @grahamh says that won’t make the intended effect.

I think it would still be useful to share a common clip so we can test it here and see if we can reproduce the problems you are experiencing (freezing).

Finally found a way to fallback to HDR10 only with EDID adjustment on the projector.
Just had again a freeze while watching Joker 2 with HDR10+, now switched to HDR10 only and will report after consuming some more hours :wink:

Any news from your test? Havent had crashes so far, but also no dynamic HDR, but only normal HDR :slight_smile:

I am able to play HDR10+ content without an issue here. But I only watched for a few minutes.

I am still experiencing this issue from time to time. Just had it again on a movie with HDR10+ after updating to the latest built.

Still nothing new, I guess … :confused:
Just stumbled across another freeze during Blood and Sinners with HDR10+… :frowning:

Without a clip which reliably shows the issue we can’t make much progress on this.

Hmm it still is a sporadic issue, not happening at the same timestamp, not neccessarly happening everytime while playing the same time :confused:

Can you provide a clip that you experience the issue with? It doesn’t have to happen at the same time, all the time when playing that clip. We simply need something to start working with. :blush:

Any chance you could post that link here ? I can run some tests too. Shame its not a deterministic fault (i.e. repeatable). Did you try disabling all our add-ons ?

Ah ok, yeah I have something for EPG and VPN, but I also tried it with those deactivated.

I watched about half an hour of this episode ( I couldn’t bare to watch the rest ) on my Vero-V and I didn’t notice any ‘freeze’ problems.

Have you checked/upgraded/deoxidised your HDMI cable(s) and connector(s) ?
