Vero V Remote stopped working after install

Hi there

I have received my Vero V today. I could install it, but after around 5min konfiguring everything, the remote just stopped working. first gradualy, some inputs not recognised, now no input is recognised. I can connect an USB keyboard and browse just fine.
Re-Pairing does not work.

Just to mention, Vero V FINDS my nvidia shield remote…

Is it broken or is there a fix?

The batterytray is trash. After reseating the battery 3 times, it seems to work again.
