Trying to help a friend who has had a vero 4k for years and I convinced to get a vero V for their new TV. The vero 4k is on an older samsung TV and sound bar, and the new setup is a Vero V with an LG S90TR soundbar and LG C5 65”. We are seeing terrible issues with lots of videos stuttering and being unplayable on the Vero5 that play perfectly fine on the 4K?
He originally cabled by going Vero5–> HDMI 1 LG C5 —> HDMI 2 ARC to S90TR and it stuttered, but that’s also not a great setup.
I’ve had him recable to Vero5 –> S90TR –> LG C5 which is what I would think is the better option and the stutter still happens.
Everything in their house is a modern multi-mesh node setup because ethernet is not an option. So the computer hosting via NFS is at one node location and both Vero’s connect to the host server via wifi link or backhaul. I’ve run ping flood stress tests and iperf3 between the host and both verso units and the connections look fine. Zero packet loss when ping flooding and latency is 3ms. iperf3 handles 250’ish mbps between vero and host, so plenty of bandwith and no dropouts.
We’ve tried disabling all the passthrough audio combinations I can think of with no effect.
