Hi all,
Has anyone done and throughput comparisons for the wifi speed between the 4K+ and the V? I’m having trouble streaming high bitrate files and thought maybe a V upgrade might solve it.
Hi all,
Has anyone done and throughput comparisons for the wifi speed between the 4K+ and the V? I’m having trouble streaming high bitrate files and thought maybe a V upgrade might solve it.
VM SuperHub testing during initial production testing gave me 230Mbps on a 4K/4K+ (same chipset used for both).
On V I can get 850Mbps on the same router and location.
With that said, both speeds I report are more than enough to play 4K UHD content. So it may be signal related for you. On Vero V the antennas are improved and we have separate antennas for BT and WiFi which we didn’t have on the 4K/4K+.
I thought it might be signal, but changing locations doesn’t seem to remedy it. I’ve had it streaming over wifi occasionally but recently it’s been continuously stuttering on the 4K content. There’s a lot of wifi in my area so maybe a new chipset will help (helps justify the upgrade too!).
I don’t think that’s helpful. The problem can be your environment with all the neighbors who also use WiFi and all interfere with each other. In the past, 5 GHz was still a real alternative because only a few routers and devices could use it; now these frequencies are often busy too.
But the Vero V is for sure ther better device regarding UHD playback und required resources.
