OK, tried several Files with and without HDR-Gamma, but all HEVC 10bit colour depth. After sending your command line, Screen goes blank, audio stopped and it seems the Signal was lost…

There is a new scheme coming which will allow more detailed sysfs approach to video configuration. This will allow full control over colour depth from userspace. Kodi will also be able to take advantage of this with a bit of work.
