I’m getting ready to move from a Vero 4k to a new Vero V.
I read that to migrate all settings from old to new device via backup file they should have same version.
Does this apply to the full version, or only the major number?
OSMC on Vero4k has v21.1, VeroV arrived with with v21.2 (and there is a pending pkg update to 21.3).
Are those versions close enough to keep the backups compatible?
You don’t really have any option so just try it, you’ll likely be fine.

If you’re on the same major version, you should be fine. It’s rare that anything major (including settings) change between minor versions.
