In Kodi 16, I used to check the video bitrate by pressing “O” and reading the video decoder info displayed. Now after updating to Kodi 17.4 when I press “O” I get the decoder name but the bitrate is always displayed as “unknown” for all my videos. I tried the other shortcut Shift+Ctrl+O but still no video bitrate info. All other info are displayed correctly.
Anyone have an idea what’s going on or how to fix it?

We believe this is a Kodi issue or a specific Kodi function and as such you should look at addressing the issue there. We are unable to resolve your issue. If you do believe that this is an OSMC specific issue, please let us know.
Check that mmal video decoder is enabled under video settings and disable OMX player
It is enabled and the one being used according to the info displayed. But the video bitrate is displayed as “unknown”.
Anyway, I’ll ask around the Kodi forum as suggested by @bmillham
