Hello! Been a while since I’ve been on the forum but looking for help after applying the December update.
I’m not sure what’s causing it but video playback seems to have some over-zealous smoothing/picture enhancement going on.
Best way I can describe it (or most obvious manifestation) is actors faces looking like the make-up department has been let loose with an all they can apply discount. Faces appear overly smooth and unless someone has wrinkles to rival Yoda, they get smoothed/smudged out. It happens on other things like woolie hats being smoothed out too - you get the idea.
I’ve seen similar behaviour from the telly before (Samsung) on some of it’s supposedly more advanced picture enhancements but they’re all turned off (and double checked).
Not sure where to look on Kodi for some of these settings - the usual areas don’t show anything obvious.
Hoping someone has some suggestions!
