I have several shares on my Server 2016 Essentials box, but not all of them are accessible via OSMC on an RPI2. The TV Shows share, //192.168.2.21/tvshows, is the one being a pain.
What does your server logs say when this issue appears in kodi? Read somewhere that it might be a error message interpretation from the smb client or server sending the wrong message. Where the error isn’t “file exist” but something else, like user authentication.
You have quite a mess in your sources. You have twice defined TV Shows in sources (both times with Kodi SMB protocol) and you have it also mapped via fstab (currently not used in your sources).
If the fstab mounts are working I suggest to remove the two entries in your sources and create one new one pointing to the fstab ones and clean library.
Well, those were on purpose to see what worked. You were absolutely correct about using fstab and mounting the shares, my RPI is now working as intended. Thank you very much! I wish I hadn’t wasted so much time trying to get Samba shares to work…Oh and I believe I also discovered the issue with that as well, I was typing the share name incorrectly.
