I haven’t found anything related about this topic, so maybe someone can help me here.
The recent version of the Vimeo addon obviously does not provide a login dialog anymore but instead, only an option to enter an API key.
Without havin an API key (if that would help at all) one cannot access his/her subscriptions (followed channels) and/or the own channel.
Any solution on that?
Ask Vimeo how to obtain your API key?
This can’t be an OSMC issue.
Well yes and no.
I am not a Vimeo developer but just an ordinary user. So why should I go through the hassle and get an API key?
Or in other words: The programmer of this addon maybe knows something which we don’t know, or why should he/she have changed the interface and left out the logon/password dialog otherwise?
Thought someone here maybe knows more about it.
EDIT: Just found that the addon is further developed. However, login yet to come:
Because Vimeo requires it, or the developer of the add-on requires it, whoever… Either way, not an OSMC or Kodi issue. We have no control, nor do we keep up with what login methods are required by any random add-on.
