Circling back… I was able to connect and I can view, but not control. Kodi reports it has detected a new controller, and asks if I want to configure it, but not sure which one is supposed to be the controller for VNC client (using MacOS Finder’s built-in VNC client). Suggestions?
Try using a different VNC client.
Thanks, I have. There apparently are not a lot of them. I have paid for Screens 4, but it crashes connecting to Vero VNC. (And not with anything else I use it for.) Reported that to their devs a month ago. Reproducible. Chicken of the VNC is long dead…
That would be the VNC virtual pointer but that is only needed for mouse control AFAIK.
That would make sense… I’ll see about configuring it. But if not mouse control, then what? my temporary solution was to use Kodi Remote on iOS and its gesture pad.
(The reason for this in the first place is my desktop is 2 floors up from Vero, and occasionally I need to work on Vero via SSH and get logs etc while testing something.)
