Volume Control Buttons don't work

Hi,

i always switch the Vero V on at the socket strip. If I switch it on and Kodi is started I can’t use the Volume control buttons. They don’t work so I have to reboot Vero V again through Kodi. Only these two buttons don’t work and after a reboot they work again.
Any idea what causes this problem? Do you need special log files and extended logging?

Do they not work during playback? If you have passthrough enabled this may be expected behaviour. Some debug logs should let us know if 1) the volume up/down key presses are being registered and 2) why they are not working

Hi Sam,

they don’t work directly after the start and also not during playback.
I started the Vero today at 2025-02-18 08:08:54, after the start I pressed a few times both volume control buttons, but nothing happened (no volume circle appeared), then I rebooted it again and then I was able to control the volume and also the original volume circle appeared.

That sounds to me like Kodi is switching to CEC volume control (which is the only reason I can think of that the volume circle would stop showing up) but however you have your equipment setup that isn’t isn’t controlling volume. If your not using CEC to control your device you could just disable it in Kodi at settings>system>input>periperials>cec which would stop Kodi from switching over to that Kind of volume control.

I have disabled CEC at the moment, but a few features are configured for using CEC e.g. turning the tv on etc.
