VPN stopping OSMC & plugin downloads

Hi All,

I have recently started using IPVanish on my PI and have noticed that once it connects all OSMC or plugin updates fail to download.

I’m guessing the VPN is blocking the connection, as if i disable it the downloads work fine again.

How would i go about solving this?

[SOLVED] Recent update glitched outbound network access, kind of

I just recently (a few days ago) did the latest upgrade (12/1/17, Kodi 17.6) and since then have developed some outbound network issues on my RPI 3/OSMC system. Since the update, I can ping an ipaddr but if I try to ping a url (like security.debian.org) I get a not found error. In fact, if I try to do a (re) update I get a bunch of not found errors for all the urls attempting to be accessed for an update. Thanks @fzinken,

That post did not make much sense to me, but i took a stab at setting the DNS servers on the PI to 8.8.8.8 and updates now work when connected via the VPN.
