Hi
I did stop mediacenter removed “true” but still I can’t access osmc:80 IP:80
<webserver default="true">true</webserver>
<webserverpassword default="true">XXXXXXXXX</webserverpassword>
<webserverport>80</webserverport>
<webserverusername default="true"></webserverusername>
<webskin default="true">webinterface.default</webskin>
What is netstat -tulnp | grep kodi
giving you now?
Nothing, I get back to prompt:
osmc@osmc:~$ sudo netstat -tulnp | grep kodi
osmc@osmc:~$ sudo systemctl stop mediacenter
osmc@osmc:~$ sudo netstat -tulnp | grep kodi
osmc@osmc:~$ sudo systemctl start mediacenter
osmc@osmc:~$ sudo netstat -tulnp | grep kodi
First for this command to work the mediacenter needs to be running. So you confirmed that the GUI was on the screen after you started it?
Because I would not have any explanation for not seeing a single entry when Kodi is running.
Sorry for the late reply,
I can’t confirm the gui on screen cause I’m working on a headless server.
Still I can reach anything but osmc.
Since I need that to control music, what do you think if I use a server music player? I checked but I couldn’t find anything similar.
thanks
Osmc is overkill and not at all intuitive if all you want is a music server. MPD on any minimal Linux installation is much better suited for such a task.
i did try mpd but it’s too hard to configure, at least for me.
What I need is music, torrent and minidlna
