I have an August T210 which when I bought it 4 years ago was identical to the Mygica T230. It works with Vero4k with the kernel Sam is testing at the moment.
BUT the manufacturers have a habit of changing their insides in subtle ways so this is no guarantee for you. As for whether they work in Australia, you should be able to find the broadcast standards on-line and compare them with the UK system. If the seller has a no-questions return policy then just try it.
