There were some issues with the underlying storage platform (Ceph) that affected the server that this forum runs on.
This also affected some of our internal infrastructure, but the forum was the only publicly facing application that users would have accessed.
As we’re developing some new products which will be dependent on expandable storage, we’re eating our own dog food by testing our own deployments on this platform.
We put some information here: OSMC Status - Forums are unavailable. You can learn more about incident outages on this site in the unlikely event that there is an issue in the future.
Lessons have been learned and in future we would be able to mitigate such an issue within a significantly shorter timeframe.
