I have the dreaded “Please Stand By” loop. I had a 4K movie either crash the Vero 4K or cut the HDMI connection, so I had to reboot.
I do that via cycling the power strip button.
From other posts, I know power strips are not suggested, but in my case I have no choice. I will say its been fine like this for a bit over 6 years.
So my hope is the power adapter died. I found the specs in this forum, but am worried about buying a cheaply made (ie dangerous) adapter from Amazon. However, I don’t see one for sale in the OSMC store, so I don’t know what to do.
If I can’t get a real one, what site/brand would be something I can trust?
Thanks
I don’t know why, but for some reason the power supply is not listed in the shop, but there are direct links that get posted here from time to time:
UK
EU
US
AUS/NZ

Awesome, thank you! While I wish I could get one in the US much faster, better to be safe than sorry. Now, fingers crossed that it’s the power supply that died.
I have expressed this for you John

I was out today and thought to check the local Micro Center and they had an Adafruit 5V 4A switching power supply with a 5.5/2.1mm barrel plug. Going to test that out but was wondering if that was advisable for long term use or should I immediately swap it out for the official power supply when it arrives?
Just wait for the new PSU. It shouldn’t take long to reach you.
