Why is my Vero 2 running kernel 3.10?

Based on the blog post for the June update, I thought that I’d be running a 4.x kernel instead of a 3.x kernel. Is this expected for a Vero 2?

# uname -a
Linux osmc 3.10.101-16-osmc #1 SMP Sat Jun 18 18:08:32 UTC 2016 armv7l GNU/Linux

# dmesg | grep Machine:
[    0.000000] Machine: Amlogic Meson8B, model: Vero 2

Hi

The Vero 2 is based off 3.10. Vero (late 2014) is based on 4.x
