Why Would Vero 4K Run H264 AVC1 Out of Sync?

I recorded a video with this codec, and while it works just fine on my Windows 10 desktop, when I run it off an external hard drive attached to the Vero 4K, the video runs somewhat slowly and the A/V is out of sync.

H264 MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (avc1)

Does this make any sense? I thought the 4K supported this codec just fine.

How was it recorded? It might be variable frame rate (common with smartphone cameras as well as screen capture software). MediaInfo can tell you if the frame rate is variable or constant.

Note that the 4K has hardware support for AVC using up to High Profile Level 5.1. If you compress a file more complicated than this you can have these kinds of problems. Modern PC’s frequently have less limits to what they can play as they have more powerful hardware and a higher power draw.

Post a full MediaInfo and we should be able to see what the issue is
