What would,be involved in getting osmc to use the raspberry pis hardware x264 encoder to backup discs when they are inserted. I saw there has been some work done on this in other projects, if it is possible to get a console up? I will try to see if I can get it to work.
With current builds, SSH is the only console access. But I’m not sure that pi has enough umph behind it to accomplish such a task though.
h264 encoding can be done on GPU but there is no software that can achieve what you want yet
