X265 (HEVC) 720p in RPI2

Good morning , first of all I want to congratulate you for the great work they do !! .
For some time ago I use OSMC, but I could not play X265 ( HEVC ) 720p RPI2 without frostbite. These same files OpenELEC ( Milhouse Build ) no problem , but from what I understand have made some kind of optimization . Someday we can play without problems in OSMC?.

Hi

The patches for GPU HEVC accel don’t compile properly under Debian GCC. I have mentioned this to @popcornmix, and for now, our focus is on getting Jarvis to build properly and to get it out the door on time.

I’ll revisit it shortly post-release

Does this mean rpi2 will be able to play hevc x265 in the jarvis build?

I thought the rpi2 wasnt powerful for this.

It means it will play low bitrate 720p HEVC content. Don’t expect too much from this for now
