Youtube Plugin on OSMC does not work

Hello everyone,

I have been using my OSMC on my Pi4 for a few years now.

A short time ago my YouTube plugin suddenly stopped working!!

Some research revealed that there was a change at YouTube and this plugin “only” works with its own API key.

I was a bit surprised because I have actually been using the plugin with its own API since the beginning!!

Unfortunately I have not managed to get the plugin working again so here is the question:

Do you have YouTube running on your OSMC?

If so, is there a clear guide somewhere on how to set it up with the “new” modalities?

I would be very happy to receive helpful tips!

This should guide you through it, it’s a bit fiddly.

I did it, several settings on the API side were wrong!
It works now, thanks for the tip!
