3D interface no longer works!

And now, 3D Kodi interface, no longer works!

sanction: no signal
must disconnect and reconnect power

The only solution is to do in the settings:
Video / playback / 3D playback : ignore
and ends the 3D interface: double image in 3D mode
no more 3D subtitles

:frowning:

Hi

Have you changed TV or AV receiver?
Auto switching isn’t yet available for 3D, but will come soon. You may need to manually select 3D on your TV or projector.

This suggests you are watching stereoscopic content. You may need to manually turn 3D on your TV.

Sam

No logs, no problem.

Have you changed TV or AV receiver?

nothing !
and I select manually 3D
but anyway, it’s Kodi 3D interface that causes crash ! not the 3D itself

It seems to me that this appeared since the last update: it was working properly before (besides the fact that Zero is unable to toggle the 3D).
I did not watch 3D movies for a while
 a month

PS : double image : it is the kodi interface! in 3D mode, we must have an interface side by side or up / down ! otherwise, it has two pictures (INTERFACE) one on the other

you have seriously tested recently?
(Launch 3D with 3D Interface

PS : with raspbery Pi, no problem
(I always Vero + raspberry connected)

To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information, including logs from you. Our wiki contains detailed steps for providing the relevant info we need to help you.

(Launch 3D with 3D Interface

I have tested a 3D MVC clip in the last week, with it being output as SBS.

Can you take some photos so I can see what you mean?

Also: how is your file named? It needs to be named correctly so that Kodi knows it is a 3D file. If you have a 3D file that worked before, it would be good to try the same file again.

Thanks

Sam

Without log files we cannot prove whether it is your tv, your media, kodi or OSMC which is the problem.

As there have been no other reports it is most unlikely to be OSMC itself, it is likely to be something specific to your configuration (which we cannot see because you haven’t posted a log file).

If you believe strongly, as you seem to do, that this is a kodi issue then you would be best advised to raise the issue on the kodi forum.

The Vero 2 version of Kodi has not been updated since 29th August. The September update did not bring new builds of Kodi.

It would be interesting to know if an older image works for the user, but I am not sure of anything off the top of my head.

If you have a 3D file that worked before, it would be good to try the same file again.

3D work : it’s KODI 3D INTERFACE problem !
the same file : (I have tested a 10aine that worked before)
without : work
with 3D Kodi Interface : BLACK (No Signal)
even during 3D viewing: If I click 3D interface “On” (3D icon)=> blackout

it’s brutal, no log, nothing, I have to disconnect reconnect to it working again
100% crash at the beginning of a film

PS : I already said that I did not watch 3D for one month

Yes : how test a previous version ? thank

Okay, do you mean if you watch a 3D show, and then press stop, the interface does not show?

Sam

If blackout (No Signal) the only way is disconnect/reconnect power

1/10 with the remote : stop and 3 or 4 “Home” work but more often it’s final

the only solution I’ve found is to stop using the 3d interface and view 3D without access to the 3D interface (and subtitles)

the equipment (TV) is safe: with a raspberry pi, it is always correct (+automatic 3D)

Do you have a way to reliably create the black screen?

Debug log might see us if there are problems switching out

I think what he wants to tell us is that calling the osd while watching 3d movies causes a blackscreen.
And that the osd is messed up (doubled) if he uses the tv to switch to 3d as kodi just displays the normal file with two pictures sbs or htb and the menu in 2d.

Then this would mean that his TV isn’t in 3D mode, but the interface is, and the video is not.

Correct. And if the tv is in 3d mode, bringing up the osd creates a black screen.

I would need to see a debug log to see exactly what’s going on.

I feel that I repeat every time ?
is the Kodi 3D INTERFACE causing the blackout!

Not 3D !

with or without 3D: the mere fact of asking the 3D interface (up / down or side by side) = blackout !

kodi owns a 2D interface (current) and 3D interface (up/down and side/side) to view the control interface for a 3D movie (and subtitles). Without this, it was the 2 halves of the image (controls !) superimposed in 3D

launch a video (2D or 3D, not important)
clic : OK to see the interface
go on “video”
and clic 3D interface (automatic=> side/side for example)
a 3D Icon appears / clic YES (3D interface)
CRASH !

and once configured it can not access the movie => CRASH
unless it invalide 3D interface (setting/video/3d interface : ignore) but this time it is very difficult to navigate during a 3D movie and can not read the subtitles

PS : how make a log ?
I can not do anything after the crash apart disconnect / reconnect

You’ve been linked to the method for creating logs in every thread you’ve started on this forum. Somehow you become willfully blind to those posts each time.

To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information, including logs from you. Our wiki contains detailed steps for providing the relevant info we need to help you.

In this case I got you wrong, too.
It is not easy to read your posts unfortunately.
I guess you are translating the words on the screen from another language than english.

Please see here how to submit a logfile, that we can understand universally:
