No i’m afraid it’s not fixed. Tried everything. I’m back at the march update now which has no problems with 25 FPS videos
Forgot to put logs

@GuraxDax … not glad to hear, but then I presume it’s a bigger issue.
@sam_nazarko could you remove the notion from the thread that it’s solved please as well? Since it’s not so far
Hi,
I’ve removed solved mark as requested.
Your logs would be more useful if you enable debug logs please?
Regards Tom.
Sorry yes

Not sure if it’s an I or l
Its the first one.
I also experienced this stuttering today, Vero V, August update.
This was not a problem before with the previous version.
Strange thing is, when playing 2 different 25 fps tv shows, one shows 25 fps in the technical details and stutters a lot and the other one shows 50 fps in the technical details and is very smooth. I did not create any logs yet, as there are other logs in this thread. But if needed, I can generate them.

I can reproduce that issue and will have a look.
hi, any update here on what the cause is … and eta for a fix ?
Yes, I have an update for you
. Since yesterday, that issue is fixed. If you want, you can check it out on staging:
I’d appreciate it if you could test this and provide feedback before we potentially release this as an update to other users. To test this update:
- Login via the command line
- Run the following command to add the staging repository:
echo 'deb http://apt.osmc.tv bullseye-devel main' | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/osmc-devel.list - Go to My OSMC → Updater → Manual Controls → and select Check for Updates now. When prompted to do so on screen, please choose to install the update.
- Your system should have have received the update.
Please see if the issue is resolved.
I also recommend you remove /etc/apt/sources.list.d/osmc-devel.list after updating.
This will deactivate the staging repository. You can do so with the following command:
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/osmc-devel.list.
Please note that we will automatically disable this update channel after 14 days on your device in case you forget to do so to ensure that your system reverts to the stable update channel.
I checked this Vero-V staging software update, with the file in post -
(After August update massive stuttering on 25 FPS videos - #6 by GuraxDax)
And I can confirm the stuttering has gone.
Awesome. I can also confirm the stuttering is gone. Tnx for the fix guys !
To be curious, what went wrong in the first place ?
We made some changes but there was a regression
This is now solved
Sam
Hi… Unfortunately I have to get back on earlier success ’
I tried with 1080p which was fine.
Now trying with 2160p with hdr… And it’s even worse than before. Audio skipping… Stuttering…
I’ll upload some new logs in a second.
Here the new logs
I need more info, a debug log is not enough. So please additionally to the debug logging, turn on component logging and activate the a/v sync and video component logs. Then reproduce the issue and post the logs.
I could also see
2025-09-09 22:55:52.554 T:3306 debug <general>: CFileCache::IoControl - setting maxRate to 14.06 Mbit/s with processWait of 95 ms
2025-09-09 22:55:52.554 T:3306 debug <general>: CDVDInputStreamFile::SetReadRate - set cache throttle rate to 1843013 bytes per second
which suggests that such a limited read rate will cause issues with 4k playback.
Will do so.
I have no 4k issues with non 25fps files btw. Doing 70 GB UHD remuxes go perfect.
And here the logs with the additional info turned on
Https://paste.osmc.tv/uhaxagexos
I want to stress again that its only on 25fps that 4k (hdr / dv) is giving issues. 94% of what I watch is 4k. If needed or wanted, I can cut a piece of video and upload it somewhere for you to test.
I have no issues with 2160p 25Hz or 50Hz here, playing from a USB disk. A clip might help.
No problem …I made a 5min clip
used wetransfer, so only 3 days valid … if you want me to upload elsewhere, let me know please.
@grahamh
You didn’t have any issues with stuttering videos from the start, so why should you have a problem right now? ![]()
