Thanks, I’ve downloaded the clip and logs. A first look at the logs doesn’t show me anything suspicious. I will look at it at the weekend.

Well, @aneurysm had a regression so I thought I’d check. And for the record, no problems with his sample. Maybe I’m just lucky. 
Also no problems here. It plays perfectly smooth.
I will also test your clip later.
Before the stage update, I had stuttering with some 25p shows.

I’m guessing this issue is probably caused by a resource heavy python add-on…
Can you also download my clip to verify it also gives you problems?
I barely have add-ons installed. I have 1 scraper, 1 skin, trakt… And that’s it.
And then I don’t understand why only 25fps would be affected. And why before August update I didn’t have these problems (as the original poster also has).
My setup (and add-ons) haven’t changed for over 10 months.
No problems here playing this clip with a Vero V on staging and an HP Omen 27u monitor.
You have skin helper service which is busy when you are playing that video. I don’t know if that’s a dependency for your Titan skin. Maybe you could try disabling it and/or loading the OSMC skin which may give us some clues.
Unless you have some 30fps videos, 25fps would be the only one that plays at twice the framerate. If you select 2160p25hz while a video is playing, does that help?

Yes you can use the whitelist. The icon to change the resolution during playback is at far right when you get the OSD up with the OSMC skin. I’m struggling to get a screenshot to illustrate this.

I put 1920x1080 23,98…24…25…29,97
And 3830x2160 23,98… 24…25…29,97
In the whitewash… When playing, no stutter and I see that the selected frame rate is 4k 25hz (while before I noticed it said 50).
So… Great.
From video experience… Those 8 I have in white wash is enough to cover everything?
It would be a shame to deprive yourself of 1080p50/60 and 4kp50/60 completely. Whitelist those as well but turn off the option ‘Allow double refresh rates’.
It was standard on. Disabled it. All is working fine now. For me it’s solved. Hopefully for Guraxdax as well.

FWIW, I had the same issue - lots of old TV shows affected. I installed the latest update from the staging repo as per the instructions above… issue gone

When will this fix be included in stable repo?
The fix I referred to was already included at time of writing
Installed that fix from tanio99 and can also confirm that the stuttering problem is gone.

This issue has since been resolved and is in the stable release for a while now.
Edit: disregard, I am losing my marbles. You do indeed need to use staging until the next stable update.

Came across this thread because playback has been not great for me either at 25hz (1080p). I updated to the November OSMC release since I saw that just came out today, and it was no better there so I guess no fix was put in there. So I installed the staging build and it’s definitely better but still not great. Are there any further fixes for this planned?
