After August update massive stuttering on 25 FPS videos

You know, I’m starting to see some evidence of this too (I guess I don’t watch a lot of 25fps material in general). I don’t see skipped or dropped frames when I go to the stats, but visually the problems are very evident. I rebooted as a first attempt at remediation, and that seemed to help, but I can’t really be sure.

Edit: I can’t help but feel that something else is interacting here and hogging resources intermittently. Could a heavy skin do this during playback?

I’ve just projected a 25 FPS short and long feature documentary at 25 FPS with flawless frame cadence at 25 Hz 1920x1080p. The documentary I encoded it myself from a DCP at 50 Mbps HEVC 10-bit Rec. 709, played flawlessly from a 256 GB exfat SanDisk Extreme Pro pendrive on USB 2 port. I’m on latest staging kernel. Monitoring with Kore Android app over Wi-Fi. I set Adaptive cache reading and 96 MB size for steady throughput.

My OSMC installation is very bare-bones and streamlined with only minimal add-ons enabled.
