now that there is finally a fix, will we see a testing build with the fix incorporated or are you going to wait for kodi to merge it first?
Moved your post to this thread as you seemed to have overlooked this thread.
When it’s ready, I’ll include it in a new build.
Sam
@thechrisgregory will be pleased to know Kodi have improved the issue with the twitching progress bar on MKAs as part of this. It was worst on TrueHD/Atmos tracks. Still there but not so annoying.
Fantastic ! @grahamh thanks for the heads up, now I 'm curious to know when we can all expect the next official sw release with this correction ?
When it’s ready.
It won’t be long – and will probably be in staging by the end of next week.
KODI 19.3 has been released with the way long overdue TrueHD/ATMOS fix!
Awesome! Are there any other updates in 19.3? And is it safe to just run the update if we already manually replaced the Kodi.bin with the Atmos fix earlier this week?
Huh?
I’m asking if 19.3 is just the Atmos fix or if there are other fixes in this build.
no clue, google it
I did. Not updated in the wiki yet when I checked.
19.2 brings some changes (dunno what if they are not on the Kodi website).
I think 19.3 is essentially just this Atmos fix.
Cheers, Graham.
I think this is the actual atmos/TrueHD fix chat [Fix] Reworked TrueHD MAT packer to support high bitrate Atmos streams (fix audio dropouts) by thexai · Pull Request #20339 · xbmc/xbmc · GitHub
I guess the next question is when does 19.3 officially come out 28th? Releases - Official Kodi Wiki
And when will it get filtered through to OSMC
OK, so quite a few things which we will need to check through.
Kodi 19.3 officially out

- There’s been a long-standing Atmos audio issue on all platforms that support TrueHD passthrough - we know that this this has been irritating people for some time, and we’ve now been able to fix this.
I can confirm your kodi build fixes the Atmos track of Abby Road (“Come Together” was notoriously bad before)
The progress bar goes nuts (and the “current progress” seems to be double the actual time…) but it plays with no audio glitches, which is the important thing.
