Atmos issues

The thread here goes into more detail. Consensus matches up with my findings: it’s better but not fully solved.

We’ll continue to monitor and make any improvements available promptly to OSMC users.

Just to add, with the fix I am having video drop outs now, where I get no signal message from the Tv, but audio contnues to play. This is not exclusively on atmos files either and continues for extended periods of time.

I would suggest a new post with some logs as this doesn’t seem to have been reported by other users

Thanks

Sam

Did the upgrade from beta and looks on the whole to work, films that are TrueHD that flapped out before don’t now. I did notice a possible pause in sound or a ‘blip’ on occasion like others have said but didn’t have time to play too much. Looking good so far :+1:

In my testing I realised the Vero 4k can’t play Dolby Vision but my bad for trying without realising it couldn’t :grinning:

Yeah would be nice if the blips could be eliminated. Not sure what that’s about.

Are we sure the blips aren’t seamless branching points?

I’m sure they are not.

I believe theres now a fix for the new minor dropouts

I’m keeping an eye on this.

Interesting! Is this just a simple case of replacing another file? If so, if there’s a simple command line for doing this, I can test over the weekend.

Building it now…

Awesome. Cheers!!

I can likely sneak this in over the weekend if results are good – because I need to make some changes to a package to build images.

As soon as I can get a test file etc, I’ll test.

The dropout is at about 12s

I can confirm this is working on Vero. I think Sam will slip it into a 19.3 bugfix release.
