I’ll need to check what’s changed then. Force passthrough is just to get HDR to play as HDR when Vero thinks your TV doesn’t support HDR so it can be left on. So it looks like Vero isn’t recognising the file as HDR.
Can you post mediainfo for that Blade runner, please?

One thing I had skipped when doing the start from scratch was to change the skin to ‘estuary,’ the default kodi skin. I did that, and without any further ado, I have HDR on Blade Runner.
I still want to know how to turn off the red + light when the system is off. Don’t need a night light.
Now I’ll see if I can get this thing back to the way I had it.
That would be the Vero going into standby when your TV goes off maybe not a bad feature. You can disable it in CEC settings under Settings -> System -> Input -> Peripherals -> CEC -> When TV is switched off -> Ignore
Although I know we are already past this issue in this thread I just wanted to note that I have started a thread with info specific to getting Plex upgraded and working again under Kodi v19.
Let me add a few more mysteries here. As I reported earlier, the HDR issue went away when I switched the skin to estuary, as instructed. But I switched back to the osmc skin to set up my widgets, and the HDR still works. Go figure.
Another mystery, and this is something the PKC stuff does. It asks you to choose which libraries to sync. I selected the things I wanted, but didn’t check the two libraries that are my daughter’s videos. It then made up a front page displaying those items (daughter’s libraries). This was while I was still in the estuary skin. It made a pretty cool-looking interface out of the files I didn’t want to see! When I changed it to sync all these libraries, then I got the “your library is empty” thing until I went to the osmc skin and set up some widgets. I’m not even sure I understand what the ‘sync’ function is here. I assume it’s how Plex keeps track of where you are viewing a film, so it can pick up in the same place if you resume viewing on a different device. Is that it?
Another thing I lost is the custom EDID I made because my TV for whatever reason doesn’t send out all it’s available modes, and I have to edit the displaycap via ssh to get proper playback of 25hz files.
All in all, it’s day three of getting back to normal. I was beyond irritated as you know, but I was also severely disappointed in the NVIDIA Shield TV Pro. Google has turned it into an ad machine. I thought I was looking at my Fire TV stick. It goes back today. The support of all here is always great, and I would rather support osmc over giant corporations. Thanks again to all.
The sync is PKC converting your Plex library into a Kodi library and I believe if you make any changes of significance it actually just removes the entire Kodi library and rebuilds it (it appears empty until it fully populates it and refreshes the skin). I suspect there is some known issues with skins currently as their github points out that they want you to use Estuary. You may find the Plex forum a bit more knowledgeable and helpful on some of these PKC issues because AFAIK none of the mods here even have a Plex Server setup other than me and I don’t use it personally other than for testing.
Hey guys, just a general questing about PKC: is Direct Play only possible when using Direct Paths or is it also possible when using Addon Paths? I have it set to Addon Paths and movies take about 3 s to start playing and the Plex Web UI says “Direct Play”, so I guess it is working also with Addon paths right?
