As @nabsltd seems your simple SSH is not supporting the latest cyphers You have two options either: enable the old one on OSMC (not recommended for security) OpenSSH: Legacy Options Use an SSH APP that supports the latest key exchange protocols

Thanks - got it to work but Winscp is still a better solution
