Bump on wlu6331 wifi dongle support?

Hello,

The last thread dealing with this wifi dongle exploded, but without an official fix I could find.
(Any way to get WLU6331 wifi dongle support on OSMC + Pi2?)

I get the same issues as the OP in the above thread.
dmesg shows the broadcom based device, but it does not show up under ifconfig not is it able to be accessed in the UI.

What is the status on supporting this device?

This WiFi dongle is supported from the July update onwards. As mentioned in release notes:

Added support for the official Raspberry Pi WiFi dongle

However we only offer the June image at the moment due to a bug in the walkthrough. I recommend you updated a June installation via Wired Ethernet. Then you should have no problems.
