Issue after December update

Hi,

I have a raspberry pi 1 B.
Today I left it running the automatically triggered December update unattended. When I came back to check, the leds were on but the screen was black. So I power cycled it.

It booted apparently normally but the confluence screen (that I normally use) is corrupted with invisible fonts and options. I switched to OSMC skin and it looks good, but when trying to go to my OSMC and manually look for updates I get an error saying “error in add-on, check information in registry” (I’m getting it in Spanish that is the configured language). When checking the log, this is what I find:

I also see errors in the log when I switch to the corrupted Confluence skin. They look like this:

I’ve manually run the update commands via ssh but nothing new was found.

Any idea what os going on?

Thanks in advance,

Daniel

To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information from you. Please see How to submit a useful support request - General - OSMC for advice on how to help us.

OSMC never installs updates without you specifically acknowledging the prompt to install updates. So unless someone else came and used the remote in your absence it will not have installed any updates.

No idea without full logs. Please post full logs like so:

Hi again,

First of all thanks for the quick replies.

Second my apologies if I was not totally clear in my explanation. The upgrade was automatically offered when available and I indeed started it. Then I left it unattended and when coming back the screen was black even when the leds were still all on. I was explaining this to clarify that I cannot be sure if the update was actually successful and the problem was after reboot or everything happened during the upgrade itself.

The requested loggers are here http://paste.osmc.io/capameyuzi

Again thanks a lot,

Daniel

Hi,

Is the provided information enough? Otherwise please tell me and I can provide more.
