Will Vero Next have an optical audio port?

Yes. The IP block is the same as before for 3D, and 3D MVC is considered dead from the SoC side. Transcoding solves the issue as you know. Unfortunately there isn’t anything we can do our side. We will keep 3D MVC supported as long as we can in terms of chipset and software. I am hoping to send samples to the team on Monday. Then after they’re happy, we’ll be shipping. I need to work on copy; marketing and also do some upgrades to our web store.

To be clear, this isn’t the OSMC guys’ fault. The problem is in the SoC microcode, which AmLogic has no interest at all in fixing.
