No audio when playback

I have just got the Vero and found out that I have problems playing files that contains mp3 audio. I have seen it on several files.

Hope someone can help

Hi Sam

Thanks for your swift reply. I am sure the audio settings are correct, as they worked for other files. It was only mp3 files.

I was expering symptoms where there were no audio, and some xvid files were stuttering.

However it is solved. I read in another post that they should update there OSMC package and after I tried that, it worked.

Sorry, just realised I’d posted a complete log of everything, so removed the post. Should have checked how to do this first… Is there a way I can get the log URL removed? I will in meantime check media info for files not working and post them here…

Here are the media info exports for some files that don’t work. I’ve tried the MKV files with AAC and they play fine, as do MP4 or other containers that have mp3 soundtracks. It looks like its just MKV/MP3. They were all encoded in Handbrake/ Mac

After update to July version MKV videos not playing / no sound

You might have found this by yourself by now, but the information might be helpful to others who encounter the same issue. Repacking my mkv files with mkvmerge helped “repair” the files and mp3 sound is back on my Vero. This thread helped me resolve the issue quite fast

Thanks - don’t think I can use mkvmerge as on Mac, but found MKVToolnix which has done the same thing as in thread. Cheers for yr help.
